XIA filters for 11keV oeprations |

Attenuation filters are 2 XIA PF4 units: Manual from Manufacturer
Control unit is XIA PFCU-4: Datasheet, Manual
Driven by digital I/O module
2018.10.03 start of 2018-3 cycle: Digital I/O channel 21 (J22) driving XIA S2 filter 4 went bad, stuck on low (filter in position) -- Currenntly disabled (2018.10.03)
For 11 keV operations starting in cycle 2016-3, the old Cu filter foils needed to be replaced with Al foils. The attachments show
1) a spreadsheet listing the filter materials and estimated attenuation
2) spec-sheets for the high-purity Al used for most of the filters
Installed 2016.07.11
Note: 2 of the foils in filter 5 have a crease running down the middle, it may be best to replace these later. |
