Solvent Vapor Annealing Chamber |

Solvent Vapor Annealing for the GIXS instrument at Beamline 8-ID-E uses a chamber built by Zhang Jiang based on a design from the Ting Xu
group (UC Berkeley).
Features:
Teflon/Aluminum/Kapton construction
cartridge heaters
suitable for GISAXS or GIWAXS
Peltier element for cooling
Optical port on lid for Filmetrics instrument
Mounting the stage (on Nealey chamber base):
1. Remove top of the Nealey chmaber
2. Remove the large centering o-ring from the chamber
3. Turn off the SINCOS drivers (rocker switch on back of chassis)
4. Remove the vphic rotation stage
5. Remove the wedge
6. Mount the spacer ~ 50 mm thick onto vsamxy/vsamy
7. Mount the Cu cooling block with the 6 mm spacer on top of the spacer. (with no spacer, Cu tubing from block does not clear sides of chamber so well)
8. Mount SVA chamber
.......a. 8-ID-G chamber: secure chamber to Cu block with 2 short M6 screws on downstream side
.......b. Ting Xu chamber: secure chamber to Ting Xu adapter plate and then secure to the Cu block
9. Mount Filmetrics to the SVA chamber |
