start will start the IOC in a screen session, run will run the IOC on the command line outside of screen.

If you run 8ideBPM.sh with start, and the IOC doesn't appear to be running, use the run argument and you'll see the error.
To summarize, you turn on the unit, then start the ioc with 8ideBPM.sh run.
Then you follow with 8ideBPM.sh css to start CSS control environment.
