Dear All:
The new adapter plate is ready. We can now mount up to 12 capillaries at the same time. I put all the pieces on the stainless steel bench in the chem lab next to George's samples.
@Laurence Lurio @George Thurston Should the samples be kept in the 4C fridge?
Thanks,
QZ

Larry:
I did some quick measurements on the blocks and here's what I find:
-- I should be able to fit 3 blocks on the fly stage with <10 mm of extension (see photo attached).
I'll send Ray the drawing for adaptor plate so that he could drop it at the machine shop first thing in the morning;
-- The opening of the block is 10 mm long, meaning anything in the capillary taller than 10 mm will be clipped
by the block (there's almost no clipping at the bottom though), so I would not recommend 25 mm tall of samples (see photo attached);

fly scanning with multiple samples to test. We tested one with 5 as shown in att. 7 and 8.
The attachment below are the last settings of the new cell.
Feedback on IN3 of Lakeshore 336, type K. Othe rtype K on IN4.
This uses the new fly scan capability coupled with a new heater block.
Some of the technical motor location are shown in att. 5 (mostly for my own good).
