User FAQ:
Is our proposal still active? How many shifts are left?

Log into the APS User Portal> My Proposals > APS Beam Time Request System > look up your proposal.
On the General tab, check the Shifts Remaining. If Shifts Remaining is zero, you cannot submit a new beamtime request (BTR).

If the Shifts Remaining > 0, next check the Beamtime Request tab, check the cycle for the earliest request. If the first BTR is more than 6 cycles old, the proposal is not active. For example, if the first BTR is for 2017-3, the proposal will be active for cycle 2019-2, but not for 2019-3.

Note that a BTR cannot request more than the Remaining Shifts or the Maximum # of Recommended Shifts for a Cycle (see Review tab), whichever is smaller.
